I’m a follower of this family. I’m not on any other social media. They truly come across as authentic and genuine, not showy or preplanned. They are super smart and adventurous. I wish all of us watching could live lifestyles like this.

I miss Steph! I used to watch every GTLive back when it was & Steph was in every episode, then they went "not live" & Steph left & she basically disappeared off the internet... I get that she needs to be there for Oliver & I'm glad she can be, but I like her more than MatPat & wish she would show up in more videos like this!

Guys - I enjoyed the content of this podcast and listened to it in the car during a long drive, but I gotta ask: WHAT HAPPENED? The audio levels for all of you were so out of whack. Garrett and Jessica's levels were so much higher than you both that it was painful to listen to - Jessica's EQ was so sharp that I thought she was using a Podmic! Did you guys use compression? Because those two would be loud and then Samir was really quiet. It was great information but difficult to listen to.

Psychologically it's really interesting and I feel like it comes back to the parasocial relationship. Long-time youtube viewers feel like their favourite youtubers are almost like old friends. So imagine how it would feel for a good friend to turn around and ask you for money in return for their friendship? It's no wonder it rubs people up the wrong way. On the other hand, RUclips viewers need to remember that those parasocial relationships aren't true friendships and these creatives are running a business.

Some of JC's stuff can sound quite emotional ,and the harmonic shenanigans even compliments that. That said, and I know this is morbid and I'm not saying a "true" musician needs to suffer, but I kept wondering that if at some point some traumatic event happens in his life and he gets up from it, his music may acquire even more depth. I relate to JC because I enjoy jazz and music theory, but I wanna relate to him on a "my girlfriend broke up with me after 04 years together" level as well.

It’s tempting to be cynical about the choices they’ve been able to make with such a massive windfall so early in life…but that overlooks the fact that they could have just become snobby consumers driving Lamborghini SUV’s and instead continue to put their best effort into doing good and developing a community. Can’t say I’m not jealous but also can’t claim I’d be as giving in the same circumstances. Loved the episode.
